Although the last two stages were far from successful for MERCEDES GP PETRONAS after the sensational Canadian race, the F1 team headquartered at Brackley, in the United Kingdom, announced a major progress will be made in the future due to the addition of the new exhaust system, developed in response to the updated motorsporting regulations. Even though the update is at its dawn, Ross Brawn feels confident he has the right engineers to enrich the system and get the most of it for achieving better results in the forthcoming grands prix. After Silverstone, MERCEDES GP PETRONAS managed to surpass Lotus Renault in the constructors' standings and took the 4th position with a total of 68 points. And if the future wasn't bright enough, the German-British team is reportedly readying another important acquisition in the army. Peter Prodromou, Red Bull Racing's current director of the aerodynamics department, could commence next season in the Silver Arrows yard.
