PHOTO GALLERY: The Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2011

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is always an exhilarating celebration of pure motoring passion and this 2011 edition was no exception from the rule. During the three four days, the circuit became a true catwalk for some of the most brilliant automobiles mastered in the last century. Among the Mercedes-Benz highlights there are worth mentioning icons such as the 1939 W 165 Silver Arrow, the 1952 300 SL W 194, the 190 2.5 16V EVO II of 1990 and the new SLS AMG GT3. Sportsman John Surtees, Klaus Ludwig and Bernd Schneider, famous for their successful motorsport careers, were also present at the show. But it was not all about "fashion", because racing is the other major ingredient of the Goodwood FOS. The sharp sound of the revved engines disturbed the silence of the track between June 30th and July 3rd, bringing the public an unending wave of adrenalin and wellbeing.
