Part One of My Josie Maran Kick: Fresh Faced and Romantic Beauty In A Box

I have been going on and on about the Josie Maran Beauty In A Box from Sephora for a bit now and haven't had a chance to give you all of the details. This kit is a great introduction to the brand, which is fantastic for Josie Maran Argan Oil Newbies. Sometimes I feel like these Sephora packages are throwing all of the old, unsold merch into a box and discounting it. That is not the case with this Beauty in a Box.

This kit includes all of the following Argan Oil infused goodies:

    - 0.5 oz Argan Illuminizer
    - 0.28 oz Blush/Bronzer Duo
    - 0.55 oz Argan Color Stick in Rosy (dusty rose)
    - 0.14 oz Argan Natural Volume Lip Gloss in Soledad (sheer light apricot)
    - 0.11 oz GOGO Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara in Black
    - 0.17 oz Hair Serum
    - 0.5 oz Organic Argan Oil

Here is a quick run down of the goods.

The Argan Oil Illuminizer adds a light shine and radiance to the skin. It's a neutral color that looks amazing on the cheeks, brow bones, above the bow of your lips and above your brows.

It looks natural and melts into the skin. It doesn't have a phony or sparkly look.

The Blush/Bronzer Duo is one of the reasons I bought this kit as I can't resist a peach blush. This shade is actually peachier than the photo suggests (and perhaps slightly coral).

It's becoming a serious problem where I am a peach collector based on hoarding, not need. Alas, this one is very pretty.

The Rose Argan Color Stick is a light, sheer cream color that can be used on the cheeks or the lips. It adds a pretty flush to the apples of your cheeks, almost as if you've been caught doing something naughty.

It's pretty. (And it's not peach at all.)

The lip gloss in Soledad is the other reason I bought this kit.

It's a bright peach lip gloss with a bit of a sheer kick to it. Does that make sense? It's so, so pretty.

The GOGO Instant Natural Volume looks nice on lashes, leaving them feeling soft and conditioned, yet drenched in black. It's a little on the shiny side and goes nicely with the naughty look the Color Stick gives you.

I love hair oils. I love them. I've tried several (and really liked most of them), as my hair is very, very dry. You can tell this one is different from other Argan oils the first time you touch it. It's at least two or three times as thick as other similar oils. It seems to surround the hair, without making it greasy or weighted down. That said, you can add a little more to your strands and wrap your hair at night and use it as a treatment.

Finally, if you haven't tried Josie's signature Argan Oil (in a bottle) then this is your chance. What can't you use this for? Hydrate your cuticles, prep your face, neck and decollete, rub it on your heels and elbows (please be careful on the stairs!) - you can put this anywhere.

The only thing this kit doesn't include is some way to set the makeup. I personally find that without setting the product in some way, it tends to fade slightly faster than makeup that isn't infused with argan oil. However, setting your makeup will help. And the boost in appearance the skin gets from the argan oil is so worth it.

(The full face from this Beauty In A Box - minus brows and foundation, which is also Josie Maran)

This Beauty in A Box is a very limited edition and my spies at Sephora told me that this practically sold out before it even officially went on the floor. Pick this up quick-fast-in-a-hurry before it's gone. It's too good to miss!

UPDATE: Between when I added the links to this post on either Monday or Tuesday night, it's already gone from the Sephora website! The good news is that the products are all available for individual sale. The bad news is that it won't be at the same pricing. I bought this the first day it was on the shelves in my store, which was within the last week (at the longest).

Josie Maran doesn't test on animals. I bought this.
