The new 2010 Summer Collection from Shiseido is a simple collection, inspired by the colors seen on coastal shores around the world. From rich tans to golden beams of light, this collection was designed to embody the season.
Unlike other summer collections, this one is simple, elegant and easy to navigate. Comprised of three Luminizing Satin Face Colors, one Luminizing Satin Eye Color, one Soothing Eyeliner color, one Perfect Rouge Lipstick and one Luminizing Lip Gloss.
(Top: Starfish Satin Face Color, Shell Satin Face Color, Black Sand Liner, Red Triton Lip, Rainbow Gloss)
Here are two of the three blushes, swatched. Starfish is a reddish gold color that adds a perfect pop of color to summer skin. Shell is a soft golden bronze to give you a slight sun kissed look.
The Black Sand liner is a must have. Inspired by the black sand beaches of volcanic islands, it's a gorgeous black-ish green, flecked with golden pearl. It glints when the light catches it and smudges beautifully. This color is perfect for smudging between the lashes or drawing an exact line. It's not a dark black, so if you shy away from dramatic looks, Black Sand liner is for you.
The lipstick, Red Triton, is "luminous golden red", according to the website. On me, it leans slightly towards a deep berry shade. I love that they chose a non-traditional color for summer for their signature lip look. Everyone else is peachy, pinky or nude, so the deeper hue is a nice change!
To polish off the look, or to keep it subtle, Rainbow is a clear lip gloss with slight light reflecting bits, similar to the foam on the beach as it washes up onto the sand.
This is my look wearing the collection. What do you think? I love it!
