I am always curious to learn more about Avon's skincare products. I know they spend more money on research than most companies and are always looking for new ingredients or technologies to improve their lines.
I was particularly excited to give their Clinical Lift and Firm Serum a whirl after reading the impressive claims this product boasts.
93% of women saw more lifted skin from every angle. In 3 days, 97% of women agree, sagging was visibly improved.
WOW. Slightly less than 100% of people say this made a noticeable improvement in less than a week? Get out. I'm all for marketing, but I'm no rube. But still, since a schmillion people trust Avon, I decided to research it a bit and see if it could possibly deliver anywhere close to those results.
According to their website, Avon Clinical Lift and Firm Serum contains:
ANTI-GRAVITY GEL: Uniquely designed with injectable-grade PVP, a skin-tightening polymer.
PRO-FIRMING BEADS: Formulated with injectable-grade Arginine to help boost elastin production, critical for skin firmness.
Obviously, they aren't injecting anything into the skin. This is a topical product only, so I don't fully understand how injectable ingredients work topically, unless they've been altered to work with a different skin delivery system. But I'm no chemist. So I figured I'll do what I do best and just try it out.
I used this product at night only (that's when you are supposed to use it) for about five weeks. And you know what? Within a few days, my skin felt tighter and firmer. I couldn't really get the difference to show up in pictures, but the sagging that bothers me isn't likely to show up dramatically in a photo.
The real difference is that I can tell when I don't use it. After a week or so of trying something else, the skin around my smile lines started to hang a tiny bit differently. A week after I resumed using the product, that skin texture appeared to have fallen was back to sitting pretty again.
I was really pleased with how this product worked. It's definitely worth checking out!
